I am the Program Director for the Preschool and Kids’ Club programs at Lakeland Elementary. I have been teaching at Lakeland for twelve years and have taught at the “Wee” Are E.R. Preschool since it began in September, 2005.

My husband and I have four children that all graduated from Elk Rapids Schools, and we have always been thankful to be able to raise our children in this great community.

My time spent with children, watching them grow, develop and learn, has been most gratifying. I look forward to meeting our future “Little Elks” as they enter into our Preschool family.

through August. I have an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood
Education and have been teaching preschool since my graduation in 1984.

My husband, Steve, and I have three wonderful sons. Our oldest son, Andrew
and his wife Amanda, live in Manhattan, Kansas. Andrew and Amanda blessed
us with our first grandchild, Lydia Renee, on April 20, 2016. There is nothing
better than being her Nana!! Matthew and his wife Kim, live in Willowbrook,
Illinois. Our youngest son, Nathan, graduated from Michigan State in 2018. We have been blessed to have all three of our sons start in Kindergarten at Lakeland and then graduate from ERHS. My husband is a pilot for the Delta Airlines. He commutes from home to Detroit for work.

In my free time, I enjoy running, snowshoeing, biking, hiking, gardening,
scrapbooking, cooking, and baking. We have a wonderful Labrador
Retriever, named Piper, with whom I love spending time. I love
being outside, taking walks, and working in my yard. I love spending time
with my family. Now that two of our sons are married to two wonderful
ladies and have moved away, these times are becoming even more special. I
love being a Nana, so any free time I have, I go to Kansas!!

I am very blessed to be a teacher in our preschool program here at Mill Creek.
